Privacy Policy
Hoonslab (“we” or “us”) operates the macOS app SlouchWatch (the “App”) and this website. We have adopted this Privacy Policy to protect your personal information and to handle related concerns promptly, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea. This is a translation of the Korean version; if the two differ, the Korean version prevails.
Summary
- There is no sign-up or login, and the App never asks for your name, email address, or phone number.
- The App does not use your camera, microphone, or location.
- AirPods head tilt data and your posture history are calculated and stored only on your Mac and are never sent to our servers. We do not run any servers of our own.
- To verify paid subscriptions, an anonymous identifier and purchase history are sent to RevenueCat, a subscription management service. Apple handles your payment method, including card details, and we never receive it.
- The website does not use cookies or visitor analytics tools.

The App reads AirPods motion data only if you grant the Motion & Fitness permission in macOS. The App does not use this data to measure your actual neck angle (CVA) or to diagnose any health condition.
2. Retention and deletion
- Posture history: Stays on your Mac until you delete it. You can delete it at any time in the App under Settings → History & Info → ‘Delete All Posture History’ (설정 → 기록과 정보 → 자세 기록 모두 삭제). If you have already deleted the App, delete the folder below.
~/Library/Containers/com.gihunlee.SlouchWatch/Data/Library/Application Support/SlouchWatch - Subscription management information: Kept for as long as we provide the service. If you ask us to delete it, we will delete the corresponding anonymous user record from RevenueCat. Apple’s purchase records are governed by Apple’s policies.
- Inquiries: Deleted without delay once we have responded, unless the law requires us to keep them, in which case we keep them only for the required period.
- Website access logs: Kept briefly under our hosting provider’s retention policy, then deleted.
Electronic files are deleted in a way that makes them unrecoverable.
3. Sharing with third parties
We do not share your personal information with third parties, except where the law specifically requires it.

If you don’t want your data transferred abroad, you can use only the free features without buying Pro. The free version may still send an anonymous identifier to check subscription status. Tracking and posture alerts keep working even if you disconnect from the network.
5. Your rights and how to exercise them
You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop its processing, at any time. Email us at leegihun8752@gmail.com and we will act without delay. To locate your subscription information, we may ask for details from your purchase receipt. Because your posture history exists only on your Mac, you can delete it yourself with ‘Delete All Posture History’ (자세 기록 모두 삭제) in the App’s settings.
6. Security measures
- Posture history is stored inside the macOS app sandbox, where other apps cannot access it.
- All data sent off the device is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Access to personal information is limited to one person, our representative.
7. Children under 14
The App does not ask for your age or identity and does not separately collect personal information from children under 14.

10. Changes to this policy
This policy takes effect on September 24, 2026. If it changes, we will post a notice on this page at least 7 days before the change takes effect, or 30 days before for changes that are unfavorable to you.
